Le Petit Hameau is located in Boffles - a friendly little hamlet situated between the lovely Authie and Canche Valleys in northern France. The peaceful setting guarantees guests peace and tranquillity throughout their holiday at Le Petit Hameau.

Le Petit Hameau has three gîtes - La Maison Longue, La Petite Pâquerette and Le Tournesol. Originally farm buildings, all three have been very carefully renovated to retain their traditional rustic character and charm. Our lovely local French friend Marie-Paule takes care of the daily management of the gîtes - and should you meet her, you’ll find she speaks excellent English!

Adjacent to the gîtes is a lovely shared garden area, along with a terrace and barbecue for outdoor dining. Children will enjoy playing in the indoor play area which has been created in one of the barns - and the whole family will love cooling off in the swimming pool!

Although Boffles is a tiny hamlet (43 residents at the last count!), it has a delightful church with a small churchyard - the final resting place for four British soldiers killed during wartime. The hamlet is only disturbed by the bread lady's little white van which calls at Boffles most days to bring residents a selection of fresh bread, pastries and delicious cakes!

Boffles is close to the market towns of Auxi-le-Château, Frévent and under an hour from the bustling street cafés, shops and beaches of Le Touquet. The cities of Arras, Amiens, Abbeville, Lille and even Paris are all an easy drive away and are great for a bit of shopping and sightseeing. The World War memorial sites, cemeteries and Somme battlefields are also close by.

Boffles is surrounded by glorious open countryside which is crisscrossed by pretty, country lanes bordered by shady poplar trees. The area is very popular with walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers and nature lovers. Hare, deer, eagle owls, birds of prey and heron have all been spotted by eagle-eyed guests!
