Booking is easy. Just follow these simple steps...

  1. First check the availability of your chosen Gîte on our Availability Chart.
  2. Please then contact us to make a provisional booking. Even if your preferred week is shown as booked, do please get in touch because we may still be able to help you.
  3. To contact us, please either e-mail us using the Availability Enquiry Form below, or telephone on: (00 33) (0) 3 21 41 15 31 (France) or 01375 483045 (UK).
  4. To confirm your booking, we ask for a non-returnable 20% deposit and a signed booking form (you can click on the link above to download a PDF version of the booking form, or ask us to send you one). Booking forms may be emailed back to us or returned by post.
  5. Payments may be sent to us by cheque, by direct payment into our bank account or by Paypal (please ask for more details).
  6. We will confirm (by email) the receipt of your booking form and deposit.
  7. Approximately eight weeks before your arrival date, we'll send you a gentle reminder about the balance payment (which is due to be paid at least eight weeks before your arrival date).
  8. Full and detailed directions for finding us will be sent to you nearer the time of your holiday.
  9. It is recommended that guests obtain holiday insurance to cover potential loss of deposit or total holiday cost due to cancellation or other unforeseen circumstances.

Terms & conditions
  1. All bookings are provisional until confirmed by us in writing.

  2. To reserve a Gîte with us, you should return the booking form and required deposit (non-returnable), which is 20% of the rental cost. The remaining rental amount due is to be paid 8 weeks before arrival. If payment is not received by the due date we reserve the right to re-let the Gîte.

  3. In the event of cancellation by the client, he/she will remain liable to pay the balance of the rental cost unless we are able to re-let the property. If we are able to re-let the property then we will refund the amount already paid by the client, less any expenses or losses incurred (ie late advertising cost, reduced rental rate to attract a late booking). The amount refunded will not include the rental deposit, which is non-returnable as per clause 2 above.

  4. Should guests decide to arrive later or to depart earlier than originally agreed, the full holiday cost remains unchanged and no refund shall be made.

  5. If you make a "short notice" booking with us, we will discuss payment terms with you.

  6. The signed booking form can be emailed back to us, or you can post it to our UK address: 53 Mayflower Road, Chafford Hundred, Grays, Essex, RM16 6BE.

  7. Please make cheques payable to "K J Dobson" and all payments should be posted to the address above. For your convenience, we can also accept payments through our UK bank account. Please email us for further details.

  8. If the number of guests exceeds the bed availability for each Gîte rented, we may make an additional charge to cover the cost of extra linen and towels.

  9. All rental prices quoted include linen, towels, electricity and welcome pack.

  10. If a rental is for more than one week, a fresh set of linen and towels will be provided at the end of the first week.

  11. Guests are advised to take out individual travel, personal belongings and public liability insurance when on holiday. Although we have our own insurance, this will not provide cover to guests in the event of injury or accident, holiday cancellation etc.

  12. So that we can prepare the Gîtes for our guests, we request that you arrive no earlier than 4pm on arrival day and depart by 10am on departure day. It may be possible to vary these times for your convenience, but we would ask that you contact us first.

  13. Accidents do happen and we would ask that you notify us as soon as possible of any damage caused to the property or contents during the rental period - and we reserve the right to make an additional charge should this be appropriate.

  14. We shall not be liable for any interruption in the supply of utilities to the property nor any other matters beyond the control of the owners which affect the rental period.

  15. Le Petit Hameau is self-catering accommodation and not a hotel. Guests are therefore reminded that at the end of your holiday, the Gîte must be left in a clean and tidy condition. We reserve the right to make an additional charge to cover cleaning costs over and above normal rental use.

    Thank you

The return by you of the completed booking form is acceptance of our Terms and Conditions as specified above.
